Conflicts where mediation can open up new paths

Separations and Break-ups

When a couple considers separating, important decisions arise: children continue to grow, the home must be divided or shared, financial matters need to be addressed, and a new way of relating to one another must be found—without harming or undermining the children’s rights and interests or the respect owed to each party. Mediation provides a space in which to make these and other decisions with time, sound judgement and without anyone imposing them on you.

The Conflicts I Work With

Inheritance and Family

Dividing an inheritance is rarely just about dividing assets. Old family stories resurface, along with postponed decisions and silences that were never properly addressed and may no longer reflect the present. Not to mention the discomfort of talking about money among siblings, aunts and uncles, or children. Mediation allows these issues to be addressed within a clear, calm framework, with the reassurance of an impartial mediator, so that the agreement does not end up breaking what you protected—or still wish to protect—when those who are no longer here were still with you.

Residential Communities and Community Organisations

Noise, building works, shared expenses, the use of communal areas… Conflicts within neighbourhoods, residential communities or associations often drag on because no one wants to take the first step—the fear of “what will the others say?” can hold people back. Mediation provides a neutral space, with structure and time, to discuss the issues and find agreements that can be sustained in everyday life without ending in a breakdown of community relations.

Family Business

In a family business, two different dynamics come together: those of the business and the family. Succession, the allocation of responsibilities, members joining or leaving, differences between generations… Mediation helps distinguish clearly what is being discussed at each stage, so that business decisions do not damage family relationships—or vice versa.
